For a change: Thai bonsai

I can’t read a thing on this website, but there are a bunch of photos of bonsai that I’ve never seen before.

(Yeah, I know, what an unfortunate domain name.  But the blogger is Thai, so I’m sure that the humor is unintentional.  LOL!)

From what little I can gather from a Thai-to-English translator, this bonsai recently won an award.  (OK, now that I look at it, that’s kind of obvious.)

I haven’t seen its competitors, but that tree totally deserves the award.  Check out the trunk!  Wonder how old it is.  I like the stand, too… it doesn’t seem to take away from the beauty of the bonsai itself.

If you visit the website, you’ll see some of the other stands that he uses with his trees.  Where on earth does he get those?!  They’re stunning!

Anyway, I thought I’d share this with you because it’s extremely cool.  Sometimes you don’t have to be able to read the text — a bonsai’s beauty is timeless and without national borders.  :)
